Nick grew up in Washington state and learned Bluegrass from his grandfather. He was so inspired that he began playing fiddle at 12. Then he learned mandolin, guitar and to sing lead and harmony vocals. He co-founded the Bluegrass band, “Northern Departure” and as his popu- larity and respect grew, he co-founded “North Country Bluegrass” touring regionally and nationally.
In 2015 he was pleased to relocate to play mandolin with the “Special Consensus” – one of Three Lakes favorite bands! Winning awards and a Grammy nomination, he has many feathers in his cap, a new wife, is teaching, was signed by Nashville’s Skyline Records, won a song of the year and more! And we are thrilled that his own band “Branchline” has hit the road and will arrive in Three Lakes!
