Catena Three Lakes speaker series continues on Wednesday, May 2 at the Three Lakes Center for the Arts with stories and songs celebrating the Nicolet National Forest. The evening will feature long-time Forest Service technician, Jeff Higley, sharing stories of his experience in the Forest Service and the Nicolet, followed by Dr. Steven Yahr presenting his research into the life and philosophy of Three Lakes author and conservationist Sam Campbell.
The mission of Catena Three Lakes is to connect the people of Three Lakes through a series of stories about the past, present, and future of the community, while providing opportunities for engaging and transformative conversation. The series is presented in coordination with the Demmer Library, the Three Lakes Chamber of Commerce, the Three Lakes Center for the Arts, and local community sponsors, Catena Three Lakes is excited to announce its 2018 Spring Lecture Series line up. Catena Three Lakes begins with a social hour at 6:00 p.m., including hors d’oeuvres sponsored by a local dining establishment. The speaker(s) for the first topic will present at 6:30 p.m. for 20 minutes followed by a question-and-answer time. After a short break, the second speaker(s) will present at 7:00 p.m. for 20 minutes followed by a question-and-answer time.
Following the final speaker at 7:30 PM, there will be opportunity for additional mingling and social time, as well as one-on-one interactions with the speakers.
