To Benefit the Northwoods Land Trust
The Northwoods Land Trust (NWLT) brings the Wild & Scenic Film Festival to the Three Lakes Center for the Arts on the evening of June 28. If sold out, a second showing will be offered on the evening of June 29. Newly released independent films will be packed into a two-hour program with themes including climate change, freshwater resources, outdoor recreation and community. Funds raised will support NWLT’s programs to protect natural shoreland, old-growth forests and wildlife habitat in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. A reception and social will follow the films. A full line-up of films with trailers is at www.northwoodslandtrust.org. Contact NWLT at filmfest@northwoodslandtrust.org or (715) 479-2490 with questions about the event or land protection services for private landowners.
The film fest is a reflection of a network of grassroots organizations connected by a common goal of using film to inspire personal reflection and activism. This event is part of a nationwide tour that can be found at: wildandscenicfilmfestival.org. A large flagship festival and tour services are organized by the South Yuba River Citizens League out of California.
