This summer, their daughter Chelsea, feels that she needs to be there for her Dad's birthday and stops at the cottage with her fiance' while on the way to Europe, leaving her fiance's son with her parents. Chelsea returns a few weeks later, married, to find the relationship between her stepson and her father has grown to a level that Chelsea wants to achieve.
