Our Mission

Three Lakes Center of the Arts was established in April of 2003 and the theater was acquired in 2008. Our intent was to develop Three Lakes as a center for the arts in the Northwoods through activities, events, films, an art gallery and class.

Activities, events, films, and classes sponsored by TLCFA bring tourists and residents to town, encouraging positive impact for Three Lakes. We are fortunate to have many talented artists encompassing all art forms in our area.

TLCFA promotes these fine artists by offering classes with their instruction, exhibiting and selling their work in the Gallery nd at our annual “Art on Main” show held in August in Cy Williams Park.

An “Artist of the Month” biography is published in the Vilas County News to further expose artists’ talents on an in-depth basis.

During the summer months, TLCFA offer a free, weekly art program for children. Just to name a few of the offerings, these young people will be introduced to painting, sculpting, and many fun craft projects.

TLCFA supports the Three Lakes “Artist in Residence” program. We also have future plans for additional murals and an interactive sculpture gardens.

Our work is far from being completed. We have many required building code updates that must be addressed before continuing with our upstairs renovation plans which will include classrooms, additional gallery space, and more!
