“Forged by the Metropolis –
Sustained by the Wilderness”
This is one of the few voice and cello combinations in the world, with music a hybrid of rhythm and blues, jazz and classical influences and training.
They met in LA and worked the music scene there for many years.
Ed, a cellist, guitarist, composer, arranger and vocalist, is a graduate of USC, studied with world renowned musicians, was a member of The Honolulu, Pasadena, Glendale Chamber and LA Mozart Symphony Orchestras, as well as co-principal of USC Symphony.
Cheryl had a wide range of experience with vocals in jazz and rhythm and blues and recorded and performed with Herbie Hancock and Miroslav Vitous. Together, they were first heard nationally on the TV show, “Northern Exposure.”
They moved to Northern Wisconsin and continued to tour with many groups and record and perform as “Chance.” Willett was music and artistic director at Big Top Chautauqua in Bayfield for four years, as well as a performer there. Together, as a single voice
